Principal Contaminated Land Advisor

Shane joined WWLA as a Principal Contaminated Land and Environmental Advisor in October 2022.

Shane has an MSc. (1 st Class Hons.) in Geology from the University of Auckland with over 25 years’
experience in environmental management, mostly with global multidisciplinary consultancies, in
Auckland.

Shane is passionate about finding pragmatic and cost-effective solutions to complex problems. While
his primary specialism is in the assessment, remediation and management of contaminated land and
groundwater, Shane is committed to supporting clients across a range of environmental challenges.

Outside of work Shane enjoys cycling, amateur motor racing, and has recently joined his local
Coastguard unit in Helensville after retiring from 19 years’ service as a volunteer firefighter.
