Graduate Contaminated Land Scientist

Mya joined the WWLA team in December 2023 as a Graduate Contaminated Land Scientist with a BSc in Earth Science and Marine Science, from the University of Auckland.

Mya worked at Auckland Council as an intern over the 2022-2023 summer as an Environmental Monitoring officer and gained experience undertaking risk assessments for damaged homes from Auckland’s January 2023 floods. Mya also has experience in core logging and marine and soil sampling.

Mya is a problem solver and enjoys a challenge. She is a keen learner and is always striving to develop her skills.

Mya is particularly interested in understanding ground and environmental conditions. In her free time, her interests include photographing the outdoors, baking, reading and travelling.
