Wendi Williamson
Principal Contaminated Land Advisor
Wendi joined WWLA in 2018. She has an M.Sc. (Hons) from the University of Waikato and has 28 years professional experience in New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific.
Wendi’s problem-solving ethos has ensured she is a trusted advisor for a range of client organisations across a number of service areas.
Wendi’s experience in the environmental sector is extensive with technical expertise in contaminated land investigation, remediation optioneering, design and implementation, contaminant management, monitoring support on resource consents for contaminated land redevelopment. She provides practical earthworks planning, materials management and construction advice on contaminated land, and earthworks management in difficult site settings.
Wendi is an acid sulfate soils expert, leading best practice in the New Zealand setting where her pragmatic and science-based approach has saved her clients in over-design costs and time delays.
Wendi has been involved in the Greenstar space providing contaminated land, environmental management and climate adaptation support to commercial and residential developments being credited under the New Zealand Green Building Council.
Outside of work hours Wendi can usually be found on the back of a horse, either competing or training as part of the successful Team Williamson – a NZ based international competition dressage (equestrian) stable.
