Jon and Wendi Williamson recently attended a recognition evening for Employers and Supporters of the Kumeu Volunteer Fire Brigade.
Kumeu local employee Laila Alkamil, who has worked at WWLA for nearly 3 years as a Planner has been a member of the Kumeu Volunteer Fire Brigade for the last 7 years. She is often seen running from her desk mid-conversation to attend a Fire call in the local community.
The Recognition Evening was for the brigade to show their appreciation of employers like WWLA who support volunteers like Laila and enable them to provide this invaluable service. It was a fun and informative evening and was topped off by an emergency call/car wreck simulation, where the supporters could try out their skills at using the rescue gear.
WWLA is proud to be associated with such a great organisation and will continue to support the Kumeu Volunteer Fire Brigade.
