Senior Planner
This position is for a Senior Level PLANNER in either our Whangarei, Kumeu or Papamoa office. The person we are seeking will:
Manage urban and environmental planning projects supporting healthy and vibrant community outcomes and transformational infrastructure projects.
Participate in creative stakeholder and public engagement.
Prepare, review and manage preparation of applications requiring statutory approval (i.e. resource consents, across diverse industry sectors, notices of requirement, assessment of environmental effects).
Prepare and review statutory and non-statutory planning policy documents and work on a range of technical documents, including consent strategies, assessment of alternatives and social impact assessments.
Provide strategic and policy planning advice on local, regional and national planning policy.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of planning legislation and regulations.

Specific skills required for this role include the following:
A Resource Management or Planning qualification (a Masters degree qualification is an advantage).
Full NZPI membership or eligibility.
Minimum 6 years’ experience in areas such as: master planning, infrastructure planning, spatial land use planning, statutory RMA planning, public engagement, project management, strategy, business cases.
